Daniel J. Solove is the John Marshall Harlan Research Professor at the George Washington University Law School. He is a Senior Policy Advisor at Hogan Lovells. He is also the founder of TeachPrivacy, a company that provides privacy and data security training programs to businesses, schools, healthcare institutions, and other organizations. An internationally known expert in privacy law, Solove has been interviewed and quoted by the media in several hundred articles and broadcasts, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Chicago Tribune, Associated Press, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, and NPR.

Alex has been involved in cybersecurity from before it was cool, and before it was even called information security. Carter currently serves as Chief Cybersecurity Officer of Sound Way Consulting (a Netswitch Partner). Mr. Schoenberg is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified National Security Agency InfoSEC Assurance Methodology (NSA-IAM) practitioner, and a Registered Practitioner by the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Accreditation Body. He has over 28 years of combined experience in local law enforcement, criminal investigations, cyber threat intelligence, cybersecurity, cyber risk management using the NIST CSF, CMMC, and ISO frameworks, as well as cyber law. Carter’s past work includes comprehensive assessments of the City of Toronto Police Department and evaluations of Motorola 9-1-1 Public Safety Networks and Applications. Carter actively contributed to the GSA/DoD Final Report to the White House “Improving Cybersecurity and Resiliency through Acquisition”. His work products have been actively used by DOD, Department of Education, DHS, the ISAC communities, Smart Cities, and the Georgia Bar Association for Continuing Learning-Educational (CLE) credits on the topic of cybersecurity risk and liability. Mr. Schoenberg also recently co-authored Guidance for Smart Cities and Municipalities Cyber Supply Chain Risk Management (C-SCRM).

Shawn is a cyber-security professional and angel investor who gained national attention for his involvement in tracking down a Chinese cyber espionage ring which was later chronicled in Time magazine. Carpenter has spent his career leading some of the most sensitive security engagements across military, government, and corporate environments. During his tenure at Netwitness (acquired by EMC) and as Chief Technical Analyst at iSIGHT Partners (acquired by FireEye), Shawn continued to earn a reputation for solving bleeding-edge cross-domain issues. Earlier in his career, Shawn worked as a principal security analyst for the Justice Department, the Cyber Threat Analysis Division (CTAD), Diplomatic Security, of the State Department, and was a member of the Information Design Assurance Red Team (IDART) for the US Navy Nuclear Propulsion Center working in network intrusion detection, network security infrastructure design, threat intelligence, system/network forensics, malware analysis, and collaborative research.
While at Netwitness, Shawn led a team of security professionals in detecting, hunting and evicting sophisticated adversaries from enterprise networks, worked in network intrusion investigations, network traffic analysis, cyber forensics, cyber security policy, audit compliance, malicious code analysis, cyber security threat assessments, and network penetration testing.
